Charges Set to Be Dismissed: Stewart’s Shops Clerk Cleared After Stabbing 83-Year-Old Shoplifter

All criminal charges will be completely dismissed against a 22-year-old Stewart's Shops employee who stabbed an 83-year-old customer inside a Saratoga Springs, New York, convenience store. In Saratoga Springs City Court, Emily Underwood-Jones accepted a specialized agreement with prosecutors after District Attorney Brett Eby officially determined she had acted in lawful self-defense when the elderly shoplifter turned aggressive.
