CVA Now Offers Iron Sights On Cascade XTS Rifles

CVA’s Cascade bolt action series has a new entry. The Cascade XTS incorporates iron sights from the factory and comes in a range of popular hunting cartridges. Let’s take a look at what it brings to the table.

CVA @ TFB:

• CVA Cascade – CVA's First Bolt Action Chambered in 350 Legend
• Fudd Friday: CVA Endura LRH Smokeless Long-Range Hunting Muzzleloader
• CVA Cascade SR: Hunt Quietly!
• Three New CVA Scout Models For 2025
• CVA Cascade SR-80: The Scout Rifle Treatment

CVA’s Cascade rifle series already includes a wide range of models optimized for different use cases. The new XTS is a relative of the XT, which adds a heavier-contour fluted barrel and radial muzzle brake to the base model. The XTS incorporates those same features but adds iron sights as well. This gives hunters an option for hunts that restrict optics, or for those who like the idea of having backup sights should their optic be compromised.

CVA offers four chamberings in the Cascade XTS: 308 Winchester, 30-06, 300 Winchester Magnum, and 338 Winchester Magnum. All models have a 20-inch barrel and 5/8x24 threads. The MSRP is $949 for all chamberings.

From the manufacturer:

“The CVA Cascade XTS is built for hunters who demand reliability in some of North America's toughest conditions. From the dense timber of Alaska and Canada to the thick swamps and hardwoods of the lower 48, the XTS combines the proven Cascade bolt-action platform with a compact design, durable construction, and dependable open sights.

A 20-inch fluted barrel makes the XTS easy to maneuver through thick cover, while adjustable steel Marble's sights provide a dependable aiming solution when rain, snow, or fog make traditional optics less practical. A Tungsten Cerakote finish protects the barreled action against harsh conditions, while the black synthetic stock features a textured SuperGrip finish for added control in wet or cold weather.”
