Get Ready For Duck Hunting, And Get A Rebate

September is almost here, and that means early-season goose or duck hunting is just around the corner for many hunters. If you’re looking to stock up on bird-busting ammo again, then check this out: B&P has a rebate on their Dual Steel loads, which offer improved performance, and they’re also environmentally friendly.

The Dual Steel shotshells are duplex loads. Instead of using a single pellet to load the shotshell, they use two different sizes. Currently, B&P has two 12-gauge Dual Steel loads, both loaded with a blend of #3 and #2 pellets and both in 3-inch length. One option has a 1 1/4-ounce payload, and the other has a 1 1/ounce payload.

With two different pellet sizes, duplex loads are supposed to have a dense pattern for closer-range shots while still hitting birds with more power for further-out shots. Is there enough difference between #3 and #2 pellets for most hunters to notice an improvement? The only way you’ll know is if you buy a box (actually, you need two boxes to qualify for the rebate).
