JK Armament Widowmaker End Cap: Suppressed Turkey Season Ready
Turkey season is here, and if you have been sitting on the fence about running a suppressed shotgun in the woods, JK Armament’s Widowmaker End Cap is probably the piece of the puzzle you were waiting on.
The SGX shotgun suppressor line is not super new. What the Widowmaker end cap solves, though, is the reason most turkey hunters never seriously considered running suppressed in the first place. Pattern integrity. If you have spent any time patterning a turkey gun, you know how much work goes into finding the right choke and load combination. The idea of throwing a suppressor into that equation and starting over is a hard sell. The Widowmaker skips that problem entirely by letting you run the choke tube you already trust, straight into the front of the end cap.

It accepts any standard Accu-Choke style tube, internal or extended, OEM or aftermarket. If it threads into an Accu-Choke barrel, it threads into the Widowmaker. JK offers it with a bundle that includes Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full choke tubes, or without if you want to drop in your own. For TSS shooters running a specialty tight-constriction choke they have already patterned, that second option is the one to grab.
Specs worth knowing:
- Diameter: 1.95″
- Material: T6-7075 billet aluminum
- Coating: Type 3 hard anodize
- Length: 1.8″
- Weight: 2 oz
- Available in 12GA and 20GA, black or FDE
- Compatible with Mossberg 500 Accu-Choke style tubes (more models coming)
- End Cap only or bundle with IC, Modified, and Full chokes
- MSRP: $205 to $285 depending on configuration
Two ounces and 1.8 inches added to the front of your SGX suppressor. That is the trade-off for keeping your preferred choke in the mix, and for most turkey hunters that trade is a non-issue.

The SGX suppressors themselves run $1,095 in 12 or 20 gauge, black or FDE. If you already own one and just need the Widowmaker to complete the turkey setup, the end cap is available separately. Backorder on current inventory is running three to four weeks, so if you are planning to run this setup this spring, ordering sooner rather than later is the smart move.

Are you hunting suppressed this turkey season, and has pattern performance been the thing keeping you from pulling the trigger on a shotgun can? Let us know in the comments below. We always appreciate the feedback.
