MDT has added three new precision rifle actions to its portfolio through its acquisition of Lone Peak Arms, the Utah-based custom action manufacturer it secured earlier this year. The Fuzion, Fuzion Ti, and Razor platforms represent MDT's first entry into the bolt-action market and extend the company's reach across precision rifle components. All three designs employ the Remington 700 footprint, ensuring compatibility with the widest available ecosystem of stocks, chassis systems, triggers, and bottom metal components.
The Fuzion (shown below) is machined from 416R pre-hardened stainless steel designed to maintain tolerance through extended competition seasons. It features an integral 20 MOA rail, EDM-cut raceways, and a side bolt release. Configuration options include short action, long action, 338 Lapua Magnum action, and an Alpine Port variant. The Fuzion carries an MSRP of $1,449.99 and is available in both right- and left-handed configurations.
The Fuzion Ti (shown below) targets backcountry and mountain hunting applications by shifting the receiver material to 6AL-4V titanium, reducing overall action weight. A DLC-coated receiver and an integral 20 MOA split rail through the Alpine Port design maintain zero under recoil stress while resisting corrosion on extended field trips. The Fuzion Ti is offered in short and long action configurations at $1,749.99 MSRP, with both right- and left-handed long action options available.
The Razor (shown below) employs a pinned-and-screwed rail interface that allows end-user reconfiguration across a full rail, two-piece rail, or direct-mount ring setup without sacrificing stainless steel durability. This design philosophy addresses the builder who seeks competition-grade precision without locking into a single optical mounting scheme. The action uses 416R pre-hardened stainless steel and carries a $1,199.99 MSRP. Both right- and left-handed versions are available in short and long action.
Core design elements unite all three platforms. Each features a one-piece 4340 chrome-moly fluted bolt with nitride finish, mini M-16 style extractor, EDM-cut raceways, 75-degree bolt throw, and lightweight firing pin assembly. Maarten Van Ruitenburg, MDT's CEO, stated the company's rationale for the acquisition: "The smoothness in how they cycle has always stood out to me, working the bolt while staying on target becomes easy. That is the quality we want to put in front of more shooters."
The Fuzion, Fuzion Ti, and Razor actions are available starting August 7, 2026, through MDT dealers and mdttac.com.
