Okuma is giving anglers what they need while still sticking to the budget with the new Okuma Eminent Baitcast reels, combining top-tier performance with value. This is a new line of low-profile baitcasters engineered with a refined design and dependable performance. Some of the features include a rigid C-40X frame with matching gear and palm sideplates. These parts house a CNC-cut aluminum drive gear and machine-cut brass pinion gear for smooth, reliable operation. Add to that a 5BB + 1RB bearing system and a 95mm carbon fiber swept handle, and you get smooth and powerful cranking power to pull fish from heavy cover. Lastly, there is a JDM-inspired audible drag clicker, giving anglers real-time feedback when fish are pulling drag.
The Okuma Eminent reels will be available in three gear ratios, 6.6:1 / 7.3:1 / 8.1:1, with a left-hand retrieve model being available for the 7.3:1 gear ratio reel. The carbon fiber drag system for all four models delivers up to 20lbs of drag pressure.
