Today’s Photo Of The Day takes a closer look at the Fabryka Broni VIS-100 M1, a Polish-made 9mm pistol derived from the service sidearm currently issued to the Polish Armed Forces and police units. Imported to the U.S. in a civilian-legal configuration, the VIS-100 M1 blends modern duty features with traditional double-action/single-action operation. Somehow, I think the pistol caught on to some untraditional colors as it was exported.
The aluminum-framed pistol uses a short-recoil, locked-breech system and feeds from 15-round magazines, with extended +2 baseplates included. Fully ambidextrous controls, a decocker safety notch, and firing pin safety support safe carry with a chambered round. The milled slide is optics-ready, compatible with a range of popular red-dot footprints, while fiber-optic iron sights offer quick visual acquisition out of the box.
A MIL-STD-1913 rail allows mounting of lights or lasers, and Tenifer-treated metal components enhance durability against wear and corrosion. At just under 1.5 pounds unloaded, the VIS-100 M1 offers full-size handling with duty-ready versatility.
The price is in the region between $845 to $1,034.
