Exclusivity is often claimed, but rarely defined. The Caracal 2011 UAE 50th Anniversary was produced in a single run of just 50 pistols, each marked with a unique serial number from UAE01 to UAE50. These were made available only through a controlled release, with early allocation tied to ADIHEX 2021 and no repeat of those commemorative serials. Beyond the numbering, the build itself reflects a different approach compared to standard production pistols. Let’s take a closer look at the details, which even includes custom-made ammunition!
Major components are machined from solid billets rather than cast parts, including the slide and upper frame in high-strength steel, and the grip module in aerospace-grade aluminum. The barrel, chambered in 9×19 mm, is also cut from solid stock and treated with a titanium nitride coating to enhance durability.
All steel components are vacuum heat treated, while aluminum parts are hard anodized, pointing toward long-term material stability rather than mass production efficiency.
Why stop at a limited edition pistol? To mark the UAE’s 50th anniversary, CARACAL partnered with LAHAB Light Ammunition to produce a limited run of commemorative 9×19 mm cartridges. The ammunition features a unique “UAE50” headstamp and was offered in special-edition packaging during a defined release period. Designed to complement the anniversary pistol, these rounds are positioned primarily as collector items rather than standard production ammunition.
Here’s the finished result. What are your thoughts?
