Armory of Kings displayed the FRT90 forced reset trigger for the FN PS90 at SHOT Show 2026. The trigger system was developed by Dorin Technologies and is currently available for pre-order through FN Specialties at $450 MSRP. First shipments go out in March 2026, with current orders filling the April production batch.
The FRT90 replaces the factory PS90 fire control components with a 3-position selector system offering Safe, Semi, and FRT modes. In FRT mode, the trigger mechanically resets forward after each shot when fully actuated, allowing faster follow-up shots while still requiring a separate pull for each round fired. Standard semi-automatic operation remains available by selecting the Semi position.
Armory of Kings representatives made it a point to clarify they have spoken with Rare Breed Triggers and the companies are on good terms, though they're not in business together. If I understood stuff correctly, FN Specialties and Armory of Kings both operate under National Firearm Sales Inc, with the FRT90 developed by Dorin Technologies.
FRT90 Specifications:
- 17-4 stainless steel hammer (heat treated, nitrided)
- 17-4 stainless steel out-of-battery sear (heat treated, nitrided)
- 6061 aluminum 3-position selector (hard anodized)
- Forced reset component
- Installation jig included
- Compatible with 16" barrels and SBR configurations
- Not compatible with full-auto trigger packs or aftermarket fire control parts
- MSRP: $450
The system installs into the PS90's trigger pack using the included jig. Professional gunsmith installation is recommended but not required. All FRT90 components work together as a complete system - the forced reset functionality requires the entire package installed correctly.
Legal availability varies significantly by jurisdiction. State/County/City lists these days aren’t super comprehensive since laws change so frequently. As always check this out before jumping in line to get one.
Production runs in batches with limited capacity per run, so order placement determines which production batch you're in. Current estimates put new orders in April 2026, though as always those dates could shift based on production realities.
