SIG Sauer has reached a new milestone in defense-licensed manufacturing with the first suppressor it has produced in Sweden. SIG Sauer built the suppressor with partners AMEXCI AB and MP-SEC International AB, and the project advances military readiness investment in the Nordics and NATO.

Each partner has a defined role. SIG Sauer supplies the product design and engineering behind its global defense portfolio. AMEXCI manufactures the suppressor using industrial metal additive manufacturing at its production sites in Sweden and Finland. MP-SEC International handles assembly, testing and distribution to Nordic defense organizations and law enforcement authorities, where safety, reliability and durability are critical mission requirements.

The suppressor supports the SIG Sauer Light Machine Gun and broader military modernization programs across the Nordics. SIG Sauer holds an exclusive partnership with AMEXCI and MP-SEC to deliver suppressors for those programs. The combination of local manufacturing and distribution with SIG Sauer's existing design and engineering expertise adds industrial capacity in the Nordics, a region that serves as a critical logistical and supply hub for NATO.
SIG Sauer CEO Ron Cohen frames the project as capacity building through high-quality, well-established local relationships. The Swedish partnership will support Nordic military modernization and position the combined capabilities to help meet NATO's future needs, with SIG Sauer precision craftsmanship and premium quality.
AMEXCI CEO Edvin Resebo says the milestone shows that advanced manufacturing in the Nordics can be scaled to support future military requirements and strengthen regional defense readiness. With SIG Sauer's commitment to the region, he sees it as "just the beginning." MP-SEC CEO Pär Biörsson says the partnership aligns with the ambition to keep investing industrially in the Nordics and to help ensure a resilient local capability.

The Swedish production fits a wider SIG Sauer push. The company draws on more than 250 years of European heritage in Switzerland and Germany, has partnerships in more than 90 countries and is increasing its production capabilities across Europe. It is the official handgun provider to all branches of the U.S. military and is delivering America's Next Generation Squad Weapon program and ammunition.
