SK Guns Introduces Charro Negro: The Legend of the Black Horseman

SK Guns is back with another gorgeous, limited-edition 1911 handgun for us to drool over in the “Charro Negro,” or the legend of the Black Horseman. This limited run of only 200 Full Size Government Model Colt 1911s chambered in .38 Super blends traditional charro imagery with what some might call supernatural mystique. Each pistol will include a special engraved edition number.

There is a lot going on with the newly debuted Charro Negro (Black Horseman) as far as its embellishments, engravings, and craftsmanship, but we will attempt to walk you through all of it.

Left Side: The gun’s slide includes selective 24k gold and .999 silver-plating; the rear panel is decorated with a gold horseshoe, leading the flats of the slide a Cathedral, money bag and human skull, surrounded with the Poppy floral scroll representing death, resilience, and traditional healing.
Right Side: The gun’s slide showcases a balance in selective 24k gold and .999 silver with a Raven representing bad omens and harbingers of misfortune in Mexican Folklore, Charro Nego shown scouting in distinguished Mexican Heritage attire holding his horse’s rein as a full moon meets the midnight peak. The poppy floral scroll continues the decorative floral scroll.
Top Side: The slide is decorated with Charro Negro riding his horse in the night hours haunting a lonely road, tempting travellers with dangerous bargains. The rear of the slide displays a graveyard of those who have passed to the afterlife.

The frame, slide, barrel and hardware are all highly polished and feature 24k gold in select areas and controls in a deep Colt Royal Blue finish. The .999 silver plating is made complete with a black hematite Colt Rampart medallion inserted on presentation-grade black-cloud pearl Kirinite grips.

Now, for the elephant in the room… these pistols will run you $3,000 each and are currently being pre-ordered with a predicted ship date of January - February 2027. Only 200 of these Full-Size Government Colt 1911s chambered in .38 Super will be produced for the Charro Negro series.
