Staccato has expanded its lifetime warranty program, shifting coverage from the original owner to the pistol itself. Now every Staccato-built 2011 platform handgun carries warranty protection for its operational life, regardless of how many owners it has had or where it was purchased.
Previously, Staccato's lifetime warranty terminated when a pistol was sold or transferred to a new owner. Under the updated policy, that restriction is removed. According to Staccato, the change recognizes that "lifetime should mean lifetime," and the manufacturer intends to support every owner who relies on the firearm for its lifespan.
The warranty is provided at no cost and covers manufacturing defects and failures, including issues affecting function or accuracy, cracked frames, slides or barrels, broken thumb or grip safeties, slide stops, ejectors, extractors, and grip components. Factory coating delamination caused by preparation or application issues is covered, as is factory blending required to correct contact hot spots. Staccato states that normal wear items are excluded from coverage, including springs, magazine followers, and coating wear caused by holster contact or hard use. Damage or malfunctions caused by aftermarket parts are also outside warranty scope.
Existing Staccato owners with registered firearms do not need to update warranty information online. The expanded terms take effect immediately for current registrations. Buyers of pre-owned Staccato pistols are eligible for the lifetime warranty at no cost by re-registering the firearm under their name at the Staccato warranty portal. According to Staccato, the updated warranty applies only to Staccato-branded firearms. Legacy STI firearms are not included in the expansion.
