The murder trial of 56-year-old Antwoine McCants was upended in dramatic fashion in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court after the primary prosecution witness recanted her statement and admitted the alleged victim was armed during the confrontation. Security camera footage from inside the Calhoun Street Shake Shack near the University of Cincinnati documented the witness—the victim’s fiancée—pulling a concealed firearm from 41-year-old Christopher Stallworth’s pocket as he lay dying, directly supporting McCants’ claim that he fired in lawful self-defense.
