Every ounce carried up a mountain gets weighed against what it buys a hunter in the field, especially if you plan on packing out with a good amount of meat. A suppressor is one of the harder pieces of gear to justify when a rifle already carries optics, a bipod, and a full pack. The guys at TENET built their original reputation chasing that math with the Limited series, and then went a step further with a prototype hunters started calling the Reserve, a can that posted the lowest average sound reading in Outdoor Life’s 100-plus suppressor test at 8.3 ounces. However, in parallel with that public benchmark, TENET was finishing the production version. The VESPER Series is shipping now in 6.5mm and .30 caliber, built specifically around the demands of backcountry rifle hunting.

The VESPER’s numbers come from geometry that traditional CNC machining cannot reproduce inside a suppressor tube, which is the entire argument for building it via additive manufacturing in the first place. TENET backs the design with seven patents, a sub-10-ounce carry weight across both the VESPER 6.5 and VESPER 30, and an 8-inch overall length the company says does not change how a hunting rifle balances or carries. Direct-thread mounting keeps both models compatible with TENET’s HORIZON 1-port and 2-port brakes, which add roughly 8 dB and 9 dB at the shooter’s ear for extra recoil control on top of the suppression numbers.
