Zanders Sporting Goods has teamed up with Missouri-based CMMG to release a firearm you won't find anywhere else: an exclusive suppressed .22LR built on CMMG's MK4 platform, finished head-to-toe in a striking multi-bronze anodizing. Suppressed .22LRs happen to be a favorite kind of firearm for me, so hang on while we discover the details.
The collaboration pairs CMMG's proven .22LR AR-style architecture with their own Zeroed 22LR suppressor, integrated and anodized to match the handguard, upper, and lower receivers in the same bronze hue. The result is a visually cohesive package rather than the mismatched look that often comes with an aftermarket can bolted to an off-the-shelf rifle. FDE furniture, magazine, and a metallic anodized buffer tube round out the color story.
Beyond aesthetics, the MK4 configuration brings some practical utility. The 4.5-inch barrel keeps the overall profile compact, the 25-round magazine feeds the rimfire platform relatively generously, and, perhaps most notably, the lower is built to standard AR15 specs and includes an upgraded drop-in trigger. That means owners aren't locked into .22LR forever, as swapping to a centerfire upper in another caliber is a straightforward upgrade path.
