ATF’s “61 Alerts” Claim Hides Broader FBI Gun-Buyer Surveillance

Gun Owners of America says ATF Director Robert Cekada’s “61 active alerts” disclosure does not reveal the full reach of the FBI’s NICS Monitoring system. ATF is only one of several federal agencies that have used the system to track firearm purchases by legally eligible Americans.
